What is CSR?
Our definition of CSR is simple – we believe that every organisation and every individual has a responsibility to make the future a better place.
How we contribute
- Attracting and developing the best people;
- Minimising our environmental footprint;
- Being transparent in our operations and reporting
- Supporting the communities in which we operate
Societas aims to meet the challenge of sustainable development by managing the social, environmental and wider economic impacts arising from our business activity with the intention of making a meaningful contribution to a more sustainable future. We acknowledge that our company will be judged not just on our profit margin but on the wider positive impact of our corporate management. We therefore aim to provide world class services that provide benefit to all our stakeholders, whilst operating within environmental limits; limiting our impact where possible; working to the highest level of integrity; maximising the benefits and minimising costs.

Actions speak louder than words
Examples of what we are doing include:-
We donate funds to the Woodlands Trust, Woodlands Carbon project equivalent to the carbon emissions we make. This carbon sequestration project creates and maintains native woodlands.
We encourage our staff and partners to actively assist in their local community. For example acting as Trustees of local charities e.g. XL Wales, a science and innovation charity which delivers more than 400 road shows to over 33,000 children in South Wales per annum or donating time, expertise and effort freely e.g. Welsh Historic Gardens Trust.
